Steamboat Springs Marathon, going to be held on 5th June 2011, is a race in country side with beautiful scenic views, green pastures, Elk river flowing along the path, rocky mountains all around. Because of these reasons this race is known as “one of the top 10 destination Marathons in North America”. This is a USATF (USA Track and Field) certified race.

Welcome to the 25th Annual Spirit Challenge at Steamboat Springs, Colorado to be held on 14th May 2011.. This is the first race of the year, a part of Steamboat Springs Running Series, a fund raiser event for Legacy Education Foundation. The event takes place in the Yampa Valley. For all ages. There are two races of 5k and 10k. While the 5k race is a beautiful, scenic, rolling on and off road. The 10k race is uphill and back downhill through Strawberry Park.
Registration is at Ski Haus, Steamboat Springs. All ages are welcome.

Enjoy 31st Annual Cardboard Classic on April 9, 2011, at 11 am, Gondola Square, a unique event of Steamboat Springs, Colorado. It’s all homemade crafts. It’s a sled made out of cardboard, glue, duct tape, masking tape, string and water-based paint. Contestants will race down and hit crash pads at the end of the course finish. The crafts are judged on the basis of most creative, best reproduction, best individual craft etc.
Time – Race for Ages 17 and under will start at 11am – 1pm. Immediately after the race for ages 18 and up will follow. Place – Gondola Square

Steamboat Dance Theatre on March 10 – 12 at Steamboat Springs, Colorado from 7 p.m. onwards. Local talent will be showcased in all forms of dance – hip hop, jazz, lyrical, modern, Irish, belly dance and more! At the Steamboat Springs High School Auditorium. Steamboat Ski Mardi Gras, is a five-day Steamboat Style Celebration which includes free concerts, parade show, Cajun BBQ Festival, restaurant specials, carnival activities, contests and more to be held on Friday, March 4th – Fat Tuesday, March 8th, 2011 at Steamboat Springs, Colorado. The fun kicks off on Friday, March 4th with the Bud Light Rocks the Boat free concert with Sam Bush. The final Mardi Gras act is Après at Bear River with a free show from Zydeco Music.

Welcome and Enjoy internationally acclaimed U.S. Army Jazz Ambassadors of Washington, D.C. present free public performances at Strings Music Festival on Thursday March 10, 2011 from 6:00pm. Members of the Steamboat Springs High School Concert Band will also join the Jazz Ambassadors on stage for a very special encore. Also enjoy Latin music, Contemporary jazz, popular tunes, standards, Dixieland, and patriotic selections.
Tickets are FREE for this performance but are required for admission at the Strings Music Pavilion. Doors open at 5:15 pm and audience members should be seated by 5:45 pm. After 5:50pm, seats will be released and available to those without tickets.

Welcome to the 2011 Bud Light Free Winter Concert Series which will start off by North Mississippi Allstars. This Free Concert Series will start on February 26, 2011 at 3 p.m. in Gondola Square, at the base of the Steamboat Ski Area. Sponsors: Bud Light, Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation, Sprint and Wells Fargo. The North Mississippi All Stars, Sam Bush, Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real, John Popper and the Duskray Troubadors, Los Lonely Boys, Katchafire and the Wailers grace the stage with their high-energy on-stage performances that cross musical genres and styles in the heart of Gondola Square. With the new Bear River Terrace & Umbrella Bar, the Bud Light Rocks the Boat Concerts will be the place to be in 2011!
Welcome to the 11th Annual Wooden Ski Rendezvous, a Family Event at Steamboat Springs, Colorado by the Friends of the Routt Backcountry on February 25, 2011.
